Popcorn texture

Homax Products Inc. has
announced a new Popcorn Ceiling
Texture for patching and repairing
commercially applied acoustic popcorn
textures.
Perfect for touching up stained
or damaged ceiling texture, this new
aerosol is easy to use and provides results
fast. It contains acoustic chips that
blend with polystyrene or perlite ceiling
textures that were commonly applied in
the 1960s and 1970s with a commercial
hopper rig. Unlike other aerosol ceiling
textures, this product uses a lowerpressure
propellant, which provides
greater spray control, less chip bounceback,
longer spray time and greater
coverage. One 14-ounce aerosol can
cover up to 6 square feet
and allow the user to spray
multiple coats to match the
original texture.

Resistant Gypsum Board, new

wallboard designed for
use on interior walls and ceilings in
residential, commercial and institutional
applications. Th is lightweight wallboard
is easy to cut and install over steel or
wood framing and may be fi nished and
painted using conventional gypsum
board techniques.

Pronto, a new
construction adhesive
Introduced at this year’s Intex
EXPO, Pronto Construction Adhesive
is a solvent-free, fi re-retardant product
for drywall installation.
Pronto is applied by hand from a
roll, and eliminates the need for the
fi rst coat of mud. Th e adhesive works
on metal and wood studs, and can also
be used to laminate gypsum boards
together, laminate fl oor underlayment,
and laminate other facing materials to
existing drywall.
Pronto has good open time,
providing workers with ample time to
position substrates, and sets fast once
bonded. Pronto also contains biocides
to inhibit mold growth and comes in
resealable pails.

Clog-resistant

Single-coat
sustainable plaster
from American Clay
American Clay Enterprises,

friendly Natural Earth Plasters,
have launched Enjarre, a single-coat,
eco-friendly plaster directed at the
commercial and multiunit residential
markets.
Sprayed on, Enjarre contains no
VOCs and provides a hard, durable,
mold-resistant, nontoxic, re-emulsifi able
plaster fi nish — with no inherent waste
on-site. Enjarre comes pre-tinted,
with eight colors initially available.
